Activity 3.1. Assess impact of existing gaps in climate observing networks on the produced climate services by this programme and invest in ground-infrastructure to improve such services.- Sections on investment plan on observation stations requirements for service delivery
Activity 3.2. RCCs and NMHS operational access to climate information, promotion of agreements between RCCs and global information providers. - Report on the status of climate station
- MoUs
Activity 3.3. Define and consolidate requirements for user driven services and provide feedback to ACMAD and international data providers for Africa. (JRC/WMO)- Updates on the needs and product requirements for consideration in updates of the climate station.
- Feedback on requirements to JRC and Global centres to support new products development and delivery.
Activity 3.4. Operationalize RCCs access to existing climate information produced at national level through NMHSs, including data rescue (recovery and digitalisation). (ACMAD/ WMO)- Report on technical assistance to countries on data rescue
Activity 3.5. Identify methods and tools for observational datasets and model comparisons and intercomparison at the regional scale for RCCs to assess which datasets are fit-for-purpose for their regions. (JRC/ WMO with support of ACMAD)- Sections on usefulness of available datasets and products in guidance to RCCs and countries

data center

To ensure long-term preservation of the data and products generated by ACMAD’s services, its data centre gives users the opportunity to consult, order and access ACMAD’s data from its product catalogue. This is part of ACMAD’s ongoing data rescue process.
