Report on User Interface Platform
The first continental workshop on User Interface Platform for Climate Services was the inaugural meeting for developing anchor structures for User Interface Platforms for Agriculture, DRR, Health and Water sectors. ACMAD was unanimously selected to be the secretariat for the sectoral User Interface Platforms, while the chair organisations selected were Pan African Farmers Organization (PAFO), African Union Commission (AUC), World Health Organization (WHO’s) ClimHealth and African Union Commission (AUC) or African Ministers’ Council on Water (AMCOW) for Agriculture, DRR, Health and Water respectively. The next phase will involve meetings between the secretariat and chair organisation to fine tune structures for operationalization of the UIPs.
