Fostering african resilience trough impact based outlook accof-17
As part of the implementation of the Global Framework for Climate Services in Africa through the Climate Services and Related Applications programme (ClimSA), ACMAD organized from May 30-31 in Addis Ababa the 17th African Continental Climate Outlook Forum under the theme: “ TRANSITION FROM ENSO NEUTRAL TO LA NINA EXPECTED DURING NORTHERN SUMMER 2024 AND ITS IMPACTS IN AFRICA FROM JUNE TO SEPTEMBER 2024”.
The forum brought together climate experts from National and Regional Climate Centres to work on a consolidate statement of the Rainfall climate outlook for June – July – September 2024 over Africa. The user community was also present on the last day of the workshop, where we dedicated a session on climate services communication and user engagement.
